Caroline’s 2nd Birthday

Happy Second Birthday Sweet Miss Caroline!!  We had a “Oh Two-dles” birthday party with Mickey, Minnie and all the Clubhouse friends.  Lots of friends and family members came to help celebrate. We had a toodles cake, vanilla ice cream that mommy made, a hot dog bar, club sandwiches and lots of snacks.  The party started at 3pm but people stayed and played until after 9pm!

Caroline got a lot of really fun toys, her favorites being bubbles, crayons and the pink Minnie Mouse car.  We are still working on her driving skills and how to push the button for long periods of time 😂

We love this little girl so much. She’s not a baby anymore!!  Welcome to being 2 sweet girl. Mommy and Daddy love you and can’t wait to see the little girl with spunky personality you become. 😘

Fish Stew… Mmmmm

Fish Stew Requirements:

-one husband willing to go to the grocery store at 9pm

-biggest pot you can find

-3 hours time (with allowance for interruptions by an almost 2 year old)

-a mother in law who requests some (potatoes, onions, DONE)

Shopping List:

-1 pack of bacon

-1 bag of red potatoes

-1 large yellow onion

-4 regular sized cans of tomato soup

1/2 tsp salt and pepper

-2 tsp red pepper flakes

-2 cans of salmon

-a dozen eggs

-1 quart of water

Directions (if you follow things like this):

Cut bacon in small pieces and fry in the large pot.  When browned, add water, salt, pepper and red pepper.  Add in potatos (peeled and sliced) and onion (sliced) with enough water to cover.  Add soup and cook low and slow, barely at boil for 2 hours.  After 1 hour, add in salmon and juice (but not the bones).  Allow pot to come back to a low boil, then add eggs (one at the time drop softly into the boiling soup).  I try to put the eggs where the boiling bubbles are.  It’s like my own little game.  I mean, it’s the little things in life!

Christmas Morning 2017

Miss Caroline was so very excited to get a new kitchen set from Santa!!  She loves it and all the accessories her family members got her to go with it. I think we have played kitchen more than anything ever!

Christmas morning we were visited by Papa, Grandma (Monkey) and Aunt KK.  Then Great Grandpa Claudie and Great Grandma Janet came to bring even more presents for Caroline!!  We ate cinnamon rolls, bacon, muffins and sausage.

For lunch we went to see Hreat Hrandma Doris and all the family on Nana’s side.  I didn’t feel very good and cried a lot.  Mommy and Daddy had to take turns holding me.  Luckily my medicine kicked in before we got to Great Grandpa Virgil and Great Grandma Lottie’s house.  I played with Aunt Mary and JB on the stairs.  Caroline and mommy have matching aprons now too… and they have STARS!!!!

Caroline the Baker

I think we may have a future chef on our hands…. or maybe a baker…. or just a really good cook.  Although she doesn’t always love the bath time that comes afterwards, Caroline is mommys little helper in the kitchen.  It’s especially fun when she gets her own bowl of flour to stir around… and get super messy!!

Christmas with the Creech Clan

We traveled to “Papa” and “Nana Creech’s” house for an early Christmas get together.  Of course Miss Caroline had fun playing with her cousins but also was very excited for presents 😂

She got a cash register and some play food.  Also some pajamas and a Pete the Cat book.   Her and Micah already read a story from the book and Mommy and Auntie Laura acted out the voices.

Outside we climbed trees, played football, and ran all around the front yard. Poor Colt had to stay in the back yard but he watched us from the fence.

Just before we left, we got to go feed the ducks who live in the pond across the street.  The white one was my favorite. It even ate right out of my hand.  Daddy tried to get the duck to bite his finger but the duck was too smart for that!
